Taipei Day 1 planning

We should arrive at Taoyuan Airport around 12-12.30pm from the past experience. As it is January, it’s considered Winter season. Temperature range is from 12-15 degree. (It might go a bit lower) If you have person in your group that is below 30yrs old, you can apply the Youth Travel Card at the Taoyuan Airport (http://tour.youthtravel.tw/travel2009/1120.php). Youth Travel Card has discount features on scenic spot ticket, transport fee, accommodation fee, delicacy expense and shopping. At the same times, can also apply for the Tour buddy phone set (either 2G+phone or 3G simcard). Coach ticket can be brought from Airport to Ximending area, price range is about 120-150NT. After purchasing, we will proceed to outside waiting platform for our coach. It’s about an hour journey from Airport to Ximending area. After reaching and check in hotel, we should be hungry by then. We will have our lunch there before proceed to the CKS Memorial. The next destination will be Taipei Main Station to buy tomorrow ticket and will do some shopping at underground mall. Dinner will be settled in Shi Lin nightmarket and not forgetting to shop at the same times haha.

Taiwan Trip Planning – Taipei

Here I’m back with my planning trip of 4days 3nights I have been to Taipei for several times but normally I don’t have to do planning as my hubby will be fully in-charge. This trip is different as I will be travelling with my mum and sister. Stress as usual, I got one that can’t take pork while the other can’t take seafood! Doing up the itinerary for 4days 3nights not and easy as travel time from one location to another might take about 30mins to 1hour at least. After some consideration, the time table is out. Lucky our hotel is at Ximending, where most of the coach bus will reach without transferring to other transportation. Looking at the review from Trip advisor, the hotel isn’t very fantastic but a decent place to stay in. In depth detail for individual place will be in next post.

Taiwan Trip hiccup

Taiwan always is my favorite country to go for holiday. Although I been there for several time, this time is different I will be traveling with my mum and sister instead of my hubby. Since I had visit Taipei before, the task for the planning fall on me. We have brought vouchers for the 3days 2nights at $360 from Street deal. When booking time, we have some issue as they only accept in even number. We have several hiccup here, firstly my sister call to Travelsmoove to explain the situation and kind enough the customer service officer able to make special arrangement for us. After a couple of weeks, we could like to get confirmation after decide on the date. One of the customer officers that answer the call told us that they can’t make such arrangement. The only two options provide by her was either to sell off the tickets as a pair ticket while 3rd ticket cost will be absorb by us. Or try to get the 4th person. We were shocked when they give us such an option when previously she mentioned special case can be arranged for us. This leaves us no choice, we sent in email to Streetdeals to assist to resolve the issue. And Streetdeals personnel wrote to Travelsmoove to get them to assist on our case. A couple days later, we received call from Travelsmoove and will be helping us to relocate another hotel which can accommodate 3 persons. Feeling so relief, we wait patiently for her call to update us on the status. A week had passed and there isn’t any reply or call.. 2nd week had arrived and we feel so unsecure, so intent to make the first move to call them. Sigh.. the person who is assisting us either on MC or AL for the week. Finally the 3rd week, we manage to get hold of her. It’s was pretty good new for the past 3weeks, they have found a hotel for us. And she also provide us with several date for travel in Jan’13. After discussing, we email her the date we preferred. Again.. a few days had passed, there isn’t any response from her pertaining to our booking. Sigh.. need to call again to ask. Why can’t she do some initiative move? I will definitely blacklist this Travelsmoove agency for rest of my life! So.. now I’m still waiting for their response >”< Lucky we choose Jan’13 if not there won’t be any time left
